What will your home look like next year? (Day 20 of 21)

Hello Reader,

It took only one year to change everything for our family.

To write about decluttering and simple living is a strange occupation. I have friends and family who can't quite believe I can write about the same topics for years on end.

Here's the thing though, decluttering literally changed how my family lives our lives.

We value simplicity and time together over everything else. We no longer shop for fun. We no longer go into debt so we can have the newest and greatest.

We value experiences over stuff.

Our home is not perfect. We are not minimalists, and it doesn't look like a home from any magazine or home decor Instagram account.

However, our home is easy to manage.

Everything has a place. Cleaning is a task that can be accomplished quickly (especially if it's all hands on deck).

Where could you be a year from now if you committed to a new, simpler way of living?

No more:

❌ Feeling embarrassed to have guests over. ‍

❌ Piles of stuff all over your countertops and floors.

❌ Spending hours on a job that can be done in minutes.

When you get rid of the excess and learn to LOVE living with less:

✅ You will spend less time cleaning.

✅ You will have less to maintain.

✅ You will have more time to do what you love.

✅ You will have more experiences.

✅ You will save oodles of money.

Check out The Big Declutter. Enrollment is open for only a couple more days at these prices.

Get weekly inspiration sent straight to your inbox with decluttering tasks you can complete, video motivation, special project ideas, and even family conversation starters about that week's task.

The best part? You have lifetime access! Get behind? No big deal. It's all there in The Membership Hub.

Make this the year you transform your home.

Decluttering Habits Tracker: Day 20 of 21

Today's Task: Clear out your car

OK, this is one your family can help you with! Even when my kids were toddlers, this was a task they could learn easily.

Give everyone a grocery bag, and start cleaning out your car. I like to have two bags, one for trash and one for things to take inside.

If the car is clean, head to your glovebox, center console, or any other storage area.

NEW HABIT: About once a week (usually on Fridays), I have my kids clean out the car for me. It's great because they are really talented at finding all those little things that get lost under your seats, and let's be honest, 90% of the mess belongs to them.

I once lost a pair of AirPods. I went months without them. Then, one day, my sweet kiddo with tiny. hands told me she found them in the crack between the driver's seat and the center console!
