Decluttering before and after photos (Day 10 of 21)
Dear Reader, I love before and after photos! They are proof that what seems impossible CAN be done. When I was in the throes of decluttering, I would actually google "before and after decluttering photos" because I needed that inspiration. I NEEDED to know it was possible to get to the other side of what seemed like an impossible task. Here's my clutter mindset shift tip for today:Before you declutter... TAKE PICTURES. Then, START SMALL... like really, really small. After you declutter... TAKE MORE PICTURES!!! When you take pictures, something beautiful happens. You can SEE the progress, even if it's a small space. You can see that your time was not wasted. You can see the SPACE you created... even in small bursts of time. I want you to witness the following Happy Simple Mom community member who had a decluttering win. She has been decluttering using the exact same principles I teach in The Big Declutter membership - short bursts of time to get BIG results. One area she tackled was this room, one small step at a time. Check it out: Start SmallI teach all my students to start small. One drawer. One cabinet. One section of your closet at a time. Start small with your time too. Give yourself 10-15 minutes, nothing too draining.... especially when you are busy juggling work, making meals, raising kids, or whatever else it is that commands your valuable time! 👉 YES, you CAN get BIG results with small steps. I promise!! In addition to starting small, start small with the emotional drainage too. Don't make your first decluttering task old photos or the boxes of sentimental items you inherited! You will be setting yourself up to fail. The Big Declutter, a step-by-step decluttering membership (WITHOUT recurring payments), will walk you through multiple areas of your home. Learn not only what to declutter next, but get encouragement, tips, and project ideas to make your space feel calm and clutter-free. 😀 For the record, I'm not fancy, and I don't teach fancy. There will be no recommendations to go out and buy expensive organizing systems. I simply teach you how to get rid of the excess and how to organize what is left for real life. Want to be inspired even more? Check out these before and after photos from other members of the Happy Simple Mom community. You deserve to feel calm in your home. We spend enough time there, so let's love the space you are in! Enrollment is open until the end of the 21-day Habit Tracker challenge. Click today to check out The Big Declutter options available, and let's do this!
